Could they be cuter?

Three happy girls hanging out in the rocking chairs at Cracker Barrel after supper. I could eat them up!That's Mara's hand on Becca making sure she doesn't do a nose dive off of the chair. She's such the little mama!

They say the cutest things!

Mara was playing doctor and giving me a check-up when Becca crawled up and grabbed the stethoscope that was around her neck
Mara: No, no, no Becca, I need my checkascope to finish Mommy's check-up.

Mara was in the bathroom going #2. I walked in to finish fixing my hair....
Mara: Mom, did you fart?
Me: No baby, it's your poopie.
Mara: No Mom, you farted! Hahahaha!
Makes me feel good that she knows Mommy's farts stink, but she doesn't know that her own poopie stinks!

DeeDee: Hey dolly!
Emily: I not dolly; I Emmy!

Emily: (to her friends in Sunday School) Would ya'll PLEASE be quiet.
Emily's teacher: Are you trying to watch Bob and Larry? Are we being too loud?
Emily: Yes please!
At least she's using her manners.

Daddy: Mara, how many do you have?
Mara: (pointing to the two stacks of matching cards from her Memory game) I have those many and these many.

It happened again.

Well, I thought the little weather pixie in my sidebar would keep her clothes on today, but it just hit 100 degrees AGAIN so she has her bathing suit on AGAIN. Can't wait to see what her fall clothes look like.

Becca's been talking to Pavlov.

When you tell Becca no, she gives you the most pitiful little look you've ever seen. She was getting into one of the kitchen cabinets this afternoon while I was fixing lunch. I would tell her no, then she'd look at me with her lip out as far as it would go and give me the saddest little whine.

I decided to get my camera to catch the cutest little pitiful face. The problem is I'm not sure if I'll ever get that face. Turns out whenever she sees the little red light from the auto-focus on my camera, she smiles. She would be fussing one second, the little light comes on , and she's saying cheese the next second.

Check out the pictures below. I tried to get a picture of her pout nine times, and nine times I got this....

Bathroom independence...

...is not always a good thing.

I have praised Mara so much for her bathroom independence from yesterday morning that I think Emily was feeling left out from the potty praise.

Emily has decided today that she no longer needs my help in the bathroom. I've been trying to get her to do this for several weeks now but she has had a very hard time getting undies up and down because of her ample tushie (she got that honestly!). And she has a hard time getting up on to the potty by herself...she's not exactly what I would call athletic (guess she got that honestly too!).

So anyway, you'd think I would be excited about two out of three girls being totally independent in the bathroom, but I'm not. For some reason Emily thinks she has to take off every stitch of clothing in order to take care of business. AND she's loving her independence so much that she's taking care of business every thirty minutes. Which means I've only chased her around the house six times already trying to get clothes back on her independent little self.

Ha, and here comes the little streaker as I type this. I am not kidding! What am I going to do with that girl?!

Carrie

I NEEEEEED it!

Do I NEED these things? Maybe!

1. This desk and table set are really cool. $285 though? I think I might have to sweet talk my dad to see what he can make!

2. I am loving the simple lines of this highchair. Kind of crazy that it has measurement marks on the legs so you can saw it off to your desired height. Pay $288 for a highchair and then saw the legs off? I don't think so. Better work on my sweet talking......Daaaaaad.
3. How cute is this purse?!? I'm a sucker for a cute purse. Better save my money though....for a very long time. It's only $305. What a deal!4. Ok, so this one might be the only practical one in the list. Not only is this diaper bag so cute (yep, I'm a sucker for a cute diaper bags too!) but it is functional too. The little purse snaps on the front and then unsnaps for those magic moments when you get to go out by yourself and only need your purse! It's kind of expensive at $110, BUT they have 'slightly flawed' ones for only $70. Uh oh, I think I know what I'm going to save my money for!

One down....two to go!

Just thought ya'll would like to know that the oldest girl in the circus wiped her own booty this morning.....a very proud moment in this mamma's life!

Nineteen Minutes...

...I'll never get back.

My patients are G.O.N.E. this morning. Every last bit of them zapped in nineteen minutes.

We changed our tv service a little over three months ago in order to get a dvr (which I love, love, love!). We got three free months of some premium channels (that we never watched) at that time. All I had to do was call to cancel those channels before the free time period was over. I can't believe that I remembered to call, but three weeks ago I called to cancel those channels. They called back twice a few days later to confirm. Kind of annoying, but ok.

So why oh why is there a $24 charge on my bill for those channels?

I get back on the phone this morning with someone probably in India struggling with his English. I have nothing against the poor man trying to support his family but please oh please Mr. Directv make sure your customer service people can speak English if in fact they will be trying to help customers who surprisingly speak English.

So anyway, back to the nineteen excruciating minutes...
No, I would not like to keep the channels at a discounted rate.
Yes, I would like to cancel the channels like I stated three weeks ago.
Yes, I would like the $24 credit to appear on this billing cycle instead of a $8 on the next three billing cycles.
No, I would not like to keep the channels at a further discounted rate.
Yes, I can hold again for the sixth time.
Please stop saying "ma'am" every other word.

All to which this was the response...
Yes ma'am I understand ma'am. Hold ma'am please ma'am.

So nineteen minutes later I have zero confidence that anything was accomplished besides a zapping of this mamma's patience. Well, better go yell at the girls for a couple of hours now.

Coming Clean!

I've never been a name brand person. Wal-mart and Target have always been my friends and I'll always opt for a store brand of most anything. Just call me cheap...I won't be offended!

The thing is, I don't want to admit it, but I'm becoming a name brand snob!

It all started with these....I love flip flops and have a dozen pair...each under $10. My sister-in-law had some of these Teva Mush flip flops and I tried them on one weekend. My feet breathed a sigh of relief and had never been in a more comfortable pair of flip flops. So I shelled out $22 and have worn them every day for the last three months.

Then I went shopping for a good umbrella stroller. I pushed every stroller at Babies R Us and fell in love with this...Again, I shelled the money out for this Maclaren stroller and then found a double one on craigslist and bought it too. I did sell all six of my other strollers at a consignment sale though and made all the $$ plus some back.

So now it's Hanna Andersson. I love these day dresses with the leggings underneath.Of course I'm ebaying to get a good deal on them though, so you can still call me cheap!
