"If I Could Turn Back Time"...

...sang in my best Cher voice!

The good news: I have two more weeks to knit something for the new baby.

The bad news: I have to be pregnant for two more weeks.

So I never blogged about the craziness of first finding out we were pregnant again... I was almost a week late for my cycle but a home pregnancy test (ok, tests) were negative. It was our third month on Clomid so I had an appointment with my ob/gyn to discuss further options on trying to get pregnant. But since my cycle still hadn't started, he drew blood. It came back that I was pregnant but my levels were really low...low enough to not show up on a home test. So we really didn't know what was going on and made an appointment for five days later to see if the hcg levels were going up or down. Whew, that was a long five days! The levels went way up on this test so everything was ok and we scheduled an ultrasound for two weeks later.

The ultrasound appointment was this morning. The doctor couldn't see what he wanted to see in his office so he scheduled me to go downstairs to the hospital's ultrasound department. So, I went to that appointment a couple of hours later and sat there for an hour and a half (with a full bladder). Then of course the ultrasound tech wouldn't tell me anything or even let me see the screen during the test.

The doctor called just like 30 minutes later though to say that the baby looked great and had a heart rate of 140 bpm, but only measured 6wks 4days instead of 8wks 4days. So something kooky happened with my cycle even though I did Clomid and my due date is exactly two weeks later than I thought.

So all of that to say that I need to tell Cher that I've figured out how to turn back time. That little baby in the sidebar was actually starting to look human, but now is back to looking even more alien monstery then when I last blogged about it!

Whew, a day of being a worry wort has left me exhausted. God is really teaching me that He is in control. Wonder when I'll learn it so He can stop teaching it to me?

All is Forgiven

At lunch today I appologized to the girls for being short-tempered with them this morning....

Me: Girls, Mommy is really tired today, but I'm sorry for being so short with y'all this morning. Mommy will do better, ok?

Emmy: It's OK Mom cause you're growing really really taller.

I'm not sure she understood what I meant by 'short', but she put a smile on my face so all is good. It's good to be forgiven!

This is all my mushy brain can come up with today.

Remember that snow day several weeks ago? I had fun wasting time on the laptop while the girls froze their extremities. Oh, and in my defense they all came in while I was in the middle of doing the countries so 24 is totally acceptable while being asked every two seconds to feel how cold my nose/feet/hands/etc is!

To home school or not to home school...

Every time we see a school bus, Mara and Emily both say that when they get bigger they're going to get to ride on the school bus. (I don't think so!)

Anyway, the other day Mara said that when we saw a bus. I told her that she has to be as big as Isaac (Isaac's 8 and I said that because she'll never be as big as Isaac...clever aren't I!)

She asked if Isaac rides the school bus, but I told her that Isaac goes to school at home and his mommy teaches him.

We've been thinking/praying/talking about all of the different schooling options and am so thankful that we have an entire year and a half before we have to make any decisions.

I asked her if she wanted to go to a school or if she wanted Mommy to teach her at home.

She thought for a minute and said, "I want to go to school at home...I want you to be my teacher, Mama."

I thought, "Wow, she's going to make this decision really easy if she keeps talking like that." But just as soon and that went through my mind, she says.....

"Just like I sleep with Miss Pattycake now instead of Bear and Lamb."

Huh?

Guess we're back to square one on that decision!

Alien Monster Baby

Check out that little baby in that widget there in my side-bar. Wow, it's hard to believe that it will grow to an adorable, chunky, screaming, pooping baby in 234 more days! Check out the tail....looks like an alien monster baby to me!

Wordless Wednesday #30

This is what the girls do when they're home alone with Daddy. Last night I went to the grocery store and they asked to watch Cars even before I left. The funny thing is that they never ask me to watch it...guess it's a Daddy movie!

Note to self:

Puking up just coffee is a lot worse than puking up coffee and breakfast.

Hmmm, I know that your life has been enriched by knowing that!
