This is what I'm looking at right now. Gorgeous mountains, quiet bed and breakfast, and time to relax with my best friend. It's fabulous!

...but Emily has boot arms. Edward Scissorhands...Emily Bootarms? Get it? Ok, so maybe it wasn't the best joke. It is a really cute picture though!Do you realize how incredibly awkward the word scissor looks? The more I type it the weirder it looks. Scissor. Scissor. Scissor!

Remember last October when Emily gave up her paci for about five days? Yeah, it only lasted five days because this mommy was really about to loose it. She got it back and I've had the "Whatever, dude" attitude about it ever since.
Well, a couple of weeks ago I was snuggling with Em at bedtime and she said, "Mom, I want to give my paci to the paci fairy."
I've not a clue where she got this idea of a paci fairy from but I decided to run with it and asked, "When do you want to give it to the paci fairy?"
"On Saturday."
Alrighty then! We geared up for a visit from the paci fairy in three days.
Saturday night came and Emily wrapped her pacis up......and put them on the front porch.
She was SO excited. The next morning she was just beside herself with all of the goodies the paci fairy left.
Sounds like a perfect solution for getting rid of the paci...right? That is until I tell you that she hasn't napped in ten days....and REALLY needs a nap. I am so close to loosing it again but trying to hold out.
She's going to be the end of me. We're going to go out together...in a blaze of glory!

Mara: Emily, you have the best farts!
I am still laughing! Guess I'll be getting a note from her teacher at school about inappropriate 'potty' talk.

Remember this post? I thought they had discovered every which way to sit in that chair, but they've found another way....I love all their little elbows and feet!

We went to the little local water park the other day and the girls were so cold that this is what they were happiest doing...We really are enjoying the cooler weather though. Lots of good outside pictures coming this week.

You know what? I am so tired of being the bad guy all of time in my girls' life.
Something our little 4 year old neighbor said the other day got me thinking. We were outside eating popsicles. I told him to go ask his mom if he could have one cause we had plenty. As he's running away to go ask her, I hear him say, "She'll probably say no."
I have to say no so many times in one day, so I'm doing a little protest this week.
This week is "Sure, why not!" week. Whenever the girls ask something this week...if it can't hurt someone or send someone to jail....I'm answering "Sure, why not!"
Mom, can we have brownies for breakfast? Sure, why not!
Mom, can we go to the park? Sure, why not!
Mom, can we finger paint? Sure, why not!
Mom, can we make mud pies? Sure, why not!
Wanna play this week too? It should be fun!

For the next Olympics, please pick a location that is a little closer to my time zone. This tired mama needs some sleep and those darn amazing athletes keep sucking me in every night.
Thank you,

The last couple of weeks I feel like we've had our own reality tv show right here on Three-Girl Circus Island.
If anyone was voted off, I'd probably be the first to go.
We've made it through Daddy working really long hours, not being able to go the Nana and Popa's (because of an ice maker flood), lots and lots and LOTS of whining, and even more sibling fighting.
The endless singing is about to make my head explode....if they're not singing, they're humming and oh the endless talking.
This Momma is about to send herself to Exile Island aka Starbucks!
Just being real. Oh and if the Survivor execs are looking for the next location for their show....

It's funny how when I figured out that socks come in pairs, I got busy on all of my second socks that had become neglected. Phillip's feet are happy with these, and my knitting bag is happy to have them out!
