You can tell by the several 'painting' pictures on my blog that my girls LOVE to paint. They ask to paint almost everyday....sometimes twice a day! There is fabulous washable paint out now so it's not that messy of an undertaking, but Emily can turn washing her hands into a messy undertaking! So on days that my sanity needs a little less mess, these aqua-doodle little pages "work for me"! They come with the little markers that you fill with water. Those are great when you need to take them with you. We really like to get a little bowl of water and a small paint brush (the smaller the paint brush, the longer it takes them to complete one, and the longer I get to blog.....oops, did I just say that out loud?). So if your kids love to paint, the aqua-doodle pages are a fabulous non-messy option. But you have to get the real stuff out and make a big mess every now and then!

We gave our 2 year old an aquadoodle for her last birthday and it was a huge hit so I can imagine these pages would be too. Great tip!!!
Ps- Love your blog and added you to my blogroll. Will be back. :)
Yes, Santa brought a few of these in their stockings last year, but I should stock up on some more too - thanks for the reminder! :)
My only complaint with aquadoodles is that they are constantly asking to have the 'pens' refilled or playing in the water when they do it themselves. We found some larger ones that hold more water at a time and that's helped a lot.
Sounds like you need to see this great idea for painting!
go check this link out...

Great idea!

I've never seen the little aquadoodles before--I'll have to pick some up next time at Target. My son had a giant floor mat, but it had to be disposed of after potty training incident! Love the no-mess crafts!
What is an aquadoodle, exactly? It sounds interesting.
Hi! I've visited here a time or two recently, and the "mess-free painting" next to your name on WFMW definitely caught my attention. I have 2 girls, ages 3 and almost 1. The 3-year-old loves to paint, but I dread the mess.
These Aquadoodle things look awesome, and I've never seen them - only the big mat, which my daughter loves to just cover with water until it's entirely blue. I'll definitely be scouring the Target toy aisles for these!
Thanks for the tip! I do believe I'll check back here more often. You have a wonderful writing style, and since I'm one behind you in the girl department, I know I'll learn some stuff from you!
I have never heard of those either, and I am ashamed to admit that I rarely ever let my kids do "messy" art b/c I hate the mess!!!!! One time , after letting my kids play with Play Dough, I got so fed up that I just picked it all up and chunked it in the trash. My boys just stared as if I had gone insane. I did apologize, but I have never bought play dough since! I love your blog, too, and I have found some great stuff by reading it!!
Hmmm, I've never heard of the Aqualdoodle paint kits. Thanks for sharing. My children also LOVE painting (the younger crew anyway, my oldest is not as crazy about arts and crafts).
Great tip! Thanks for sharing.
