Sam's O-N-E

The little booger has been with us for over a year now, and it's so cool to know that the girls are all still as crazy about him as when this picture was taken!
He was so sick the entire week of his birthday which included not only turning the big O-N-E but also his first haircut.
I do believe this was his only smile the entire week. He loved the attention of everyone singing to him.

He wasn't too sure about digging in to his cake...
...but still managed to make a huge mess!
My sweet boy,
I can't believe that you're already a year old. Mommy, Daddy, and all three of your sisters are crazy about you. You're so fun and will do anything for a laugh...including making a mess or getting into trouble! You've never met a stranger and just love life. We love you so much and can't wait to see what God has planned for you crazy boy!

A very important first

First ice cream...very important indeed. And look at that face. He's so very proud of both the treat and the mess!

Flood Warning

Bath time....

I'm tired of having to put the kitchen rug in the dryer after every one of Sam's floods, er I mean baths!

So loved

You can tell how old these pictures are by how little the little monkey is in them.

I LOVE these pictures. We have pictures of Mara snuggling with Em when she was tiny....Mara and Em snuggling with Becca when she was tiny....and now these. There's not a picture of Becca snuggling this night cause I'm sure her stubborn filter was turned on!

This little monkey is definitely SO loved.

Center of Attention

It's a good thing he doesn't mind being the center of attention.

Worth it?

The heartburn....swollen ankles.....doctor appointments.....
...sleepless nights.....nothing to wear because of the 'baby weight'.....
...craziness and noise of having four children....and a hundred other inconveniences in the world's eyes...
Yep, it's all worth it!

His first Wollmeise

I was 32 before I got my first pair of Wollmeise socks. Sam's way ahead of me!

Mushy

My brain that is...it's mushy, so I'll just post some more pictures of my little man and hope that I'll be able to write some real thoughts soon!

Samuel John Jerkins
7 lbs. 3 oz. 20 inches long
born June 18th at 7:29 am.

The girls are absolutely nuts about him!
Emily would hold him 24/7 if we let her.
I think I'm going to have plenty of help!
We're home now and loving getting into our new normal.
