If you have a sandbox in the backyard...
and then get new neighbors with an outdoor cat...
umm, yeah...get rid of the sandbox before you let your children play in it.
The three year old was especially excited to play with the "stinky mud". Aaaaa, I can still smell the horrendous stench from when they came inside. I think it's burned into my nostrils!
Wow, that's two major motherhood lessons two days in a row. Wonder what I'll learn tomorrow?

so so sorry.. we have an indoor/outdoor cat.. but we also have a lid on the sandbox.. and so far so good we havent' found anything we didn't want in the sand.. and it has been over 3 years now.. the only time I had to toss the sand was when the kids left the lid off before we went camping for 4 days.. came back home and it had rained and it was full of water and I didn't want to take any chances that cats didn't use it.. so I tossed that sand.
