I remember my grandma teaching me to knit with my fingers but had forgotten about it until I saw this. Then I did more research and found this. I think Mara and I have a new project for this week!
Edited to add: The pictures in this post are from the links that appear right above them. No, I didn't get a new tattoo, although that one looks really neat. I know that pain and never again, never again!

I like your tattoo in the second picture. Or is that Mara's new tattoo?
Lesley...yeah, you didn't know that I got a new tattoo?!? Those are pictures from the link above them, Silly Lesley!
I was just about to get you to explain the tattoos. Guess I got my explanation : )
Hi there...I wondered if you had gotten wild and crazy!! Are you guys going to get to come to Timothy's wedding? I thought your girls might have fun. It's outside in Murfreesboro. Did you get your invitation?
I used to make scarves for my dolls this way when I was little. I tried to teach Emma but she doesn't seem to quite get it just yet.
I used to 'finger crochet' as a kid, and I taught Abby how to do the single loop kind a while back. She so wants to learn to really knit, but I haven't been very successful at teaching her with needles (partly because I knit left-handed and she's right-handed). I'm really interested by the second link and photo - will have to check it out! Thanks! :)
