Did you know....

...that Charlie Brown was southern?

We were watching the Charlie Brown Christmas last night. Charlie Brown was directing the Christmas pageant. When he got to the first rehearsal he said, "Ok y'all, it's time to get started."

My head snapped around.....he totally said y'all!

Charles Schultz was from Minnesota, so I'm not sure where it came from.

Maybe it was just a little Christmas present from Charlie Brown to all of us Southerners!

Kissed and Made Up

So remember last week when I threw the dvr out the window? Well, we have kissed and made up....I'm back in love.

When you have to be awake to catch puke every ten minutes for four hours in the wee hours of the morning (times two out of three girls = two nights in a row!), the dvr is my best friend.

No infomercial watching here.

I caught up on Dancing with the Stars. I'm so sad that Jenny didn't make it to the finals, but LOVE that Helio won. How cute is he?!?

Then I caught up on ER, Survivor, and Friday Night Lights too.

Mara and I were watching Kid Nation last night in between the puke catching, and I think I have a future reality tv addict on my hands...guess she gets that honestly though.

Ok, I'd better get back to the fourteen loads of puke infested laundry waiting on me!

It's a bird...It's a plane...no, it's just my dvr flying out the window!

Dear Mr. Local ABC Executive,
When you decide to air a football game instead of regularly scheduled programs, and then air those programs in the wee hours of the mornings, please update your programming if said regularly scheduled programs will be starting 15 minutes late. The dvrs of the world would appreciate not getting cussed at, and this housewife shamefully addicted to The Bachelor would appreciate not having to cuss at said dvr.

Sincerely,
The housewife shamefully addicted to The Bachelor who missed the last 15 minutes of the final rose ceremony

The Price is STILL Right

Phillip had a little surgery on his wrist yesterday (I guess it was only 'little' because it wasn't my wrist!) so I had several hours to sit in a waiting room knitting and watching something on tv besides Dora or Backyardigans.

So while knitting and waiting, The Price Is Right came on the six tvs in the waiting room. I'm not a huge fan of the show, but used to watch it every now and then when we had the cheap cable.

I've not watched it since Bob Barker retired. I was really skeptical thinking they probably should have just ended the show when he left instead of trying to replace him.

Well I must say, I was wrong. And if you know me...you know how hard it is for me to say that!

Drew Carey was fabulous! He was just so real...jumping up and down with the contestants that won and chuckling at the ones who bid $1199 right after the person before them bid $1200. I also love that he calls the models by name.

Hmmm, another show to add to the dvr....just what I need!

Nuuuhh Uuhhh!

I'm just now catching up on the dvr from the beginning of the week. I'm floored about this. She so should have won... I don't think I can watch the rest of the season.

Oh, the reality tv drama! I love it, and of course I'll be watching next week!

Great TV Moments

So I haven't blogged about my dvr addiction lately. I've been too busy watching tv shows on the dvr to blog about it! I'm finally caught up though, and there has been some great moments this week.

First of all, Marie Osmond passing out on Monday was priceless...and on live tv! This is the first season that I've watched Dancing with the Stars. I haven't really been into it until now. I'm totally going to watch every single episode now to see someone else pass out on national tv.

And The Bachelor... Hometown dates are next week and I can't wait. Hillary broke my heart this week though. When they start crying when they leave, I'm usually like "oh shush, grow up" but I really felt bad for Hillary this week. Maybe all of this reality tv is getting to me!

Then the Biggest Loser the other night... Oh my goodness. I still can't believe that Neil's still there after pulling a stunt like that. Uuuuu, I'm so mad! Yes, this reality tv is definitely getting to me.

I do have a new favorite show though. I'm LOVING Friday Night Lights. I know, it's not a reality show, but I'm giving it a chance!

Ok, that's all for now. I really do need to get a life...or maybe just fold laundry during nap time instead of feeding my dvr addiction!

Can. Not. Look. Away.

Hi, my name is Carrie, and I love reality television shows.

Ah, I feel so much better already.

Now that I got that out, I'm no longer embarrassed to say I just watched the first episode of The Bachelor. This show gets on my nerves.

Top 5 Reasons The Bachelor gets on my nerves.....
1. I can't stand how the girls compete.
2. I hate the jealousy.
3. The dirty looks really drive me crazy.
4. I know Brad is hot, but must he constantly be shirtless.
5. Where did they find these girls? Human pretzel, web toes, and a blubbering drunk.....classy!

So as much as this show gets on my nerves, I LOVE it! Go figure! Will ya'll still claim me as your friend?
